According to the statistics and analysis from the "China Fluorosilicon Industry Operation Briefing (Issue 87, 91, 94)", the top 10 global silicone companies for 2023 have been selected.
According to the statistics and analysis from the "China Fluorosilicon Industry Operation Brief (Issue 87, 91, 94)", the top 10 global silicone companies in 2023 are: (in no particular order) Hesheng Silicon Industry, Dow, Elkem, Wacker Chemie, Dongyue Silicon Materials, Shin-Etsu Chemical, Xin'an Chemical, Xingfa Group, Momentive Global Inc., and Sanyou Chemical. Among these, 9 companies (excluding Momentive) have a total asset value of approximately 921.5 billion RMB, with a sales revenue of about 737.2 billion RMB in 2022, an increase of 19.1% year-on-year; net profit is approximately 101.5 billion RMB, an increase of 7.5% year-on-year, with an average profit margin of 13.8%, which is 1.49 percentage points lower than in 2021; sales revenue from silicone products is about 297.8 billion RMB, and R&D investment accounts for 1%-4.7% of operating revenue, averaging about 2.0%.
The main operating indicators of the global top 10 silicone companies for 2021/2022 are shown in the figure below.
The total assets of the five listed companies, Hesheng Silicon Industry, Xin'an Chemical, Dongyue Silicon Materials, Xingfa Group, and Sanyou Chemical, reached nearly 149.6 billion RMB in 2022, with sales revenue of about 106.2 billion RMB, an increase of 15.7% year-on-year; net profit is approximately 15.5 billion RMB, a decrease of 14.1% year-on-year, with an average profit margin of 14.6%, which is 5.04 percentage points lower than in 2021.
The comparison of the revenue growth rate, net profit growth rate, and net profit margin of the five Chinese listed companies (Hesheng Silicon Industry, Xin'an Chemical, Dongyue Silicon Materials, Xingfa Group, Sanyou Chemical) with the four foreign listed companies (Dow, Elkem, Wacker Chemie, Shin-Etsu) is shown in the figure below.
From the above figure, it can be seen that the revenue growth rate and profit growth rate of the five Chinese listed companies are both lower than those of the four foreign companies, while the average annual profit margin of the five Chinese companies is slightly higher than the average of the four foreign companies.
